The Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), established in 1986 under the Universities Act, stands as one of Sri Lanka’s eight premier postgraduate institutes, affiliated to the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. As a self-financed, semi-autonomous institution, PIM has consistently set the benchmark for management education in the region.
Over nearly four decades, PIM has shaped more than ten thousand business leaders, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and mindset to thrive in an ever-changing global economy. From its flagship campus in Sri Lanka, PIM extended its reach internationally – establishing campuses in Dubai and Qatar in 2007, and subsequently expanding its MBA programme across Bahrain, Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, and Bangladesh from 2015 onwards.
Today, our alumni are a formidable force – driving innovation in the corporate world, building transformative businesses, advancing academia, and shaping public policy across continents.
